Nigerian musician star, Zaaki Azzay, is recognized as one of the pioneers of Hip-hop music in Nigeria, has praised 2baba on remarkable talent and hard work by calling him ‘hand of God’,
In an exclusive interview with the Premium Times Nigeria, Zaaki has disclosed how 2baba is the most relevant Nigerian musician in this era as from his good musicianship. This comes after a long break of a three-year music hiatus full of traveling without dropping any song.
Also hinted as a probable artist to feature in a future remix of his song is Timaya whom Zaaki considers as one of the artists who has done well for himself and He has a lot of respect for him.
He, however, faulted some of the artists lacking good content in their music, have no meaning in their lyrics and have neglected their initial task and call to be good ambassadors. He noted that "When I started doing music, Nigerians didn’t even appreciate Nigerian music. It was 95 percent western, American songs they listened to, but today Nigerian music is even dominating the whole world.
In the past, I traveled abroad once a year to perform, but right now I travel every month to perform abroad. So it’s different today because the demand is higher and the music is definitely better. We no longer have Nigerian music but international music."
