Koffee made history the very moment her album ‘Rapture’ was nominated for a Grammy; she became the youngest reggae artist to ever be nominated for that.

On Sunday, the 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony was held and Koffee actually went on to win the Reggae album of the year award. She was running up against Julian Marley, Sly & Robbie & Roots Radics, Steel Pulse and Third World.

Koffee, at 19 then becomes the youngest Reggae artist to ever win this award. She also becomes the first solo female artist to ever win this category award.

There is also the common theory that whenever a Marley is nominated, it is definite that they will win the award. This theory has been proven to be true through Reggae-Grammy history even last year when Chronixx was nominated. Koffee becomes the one artist to stop reggae in this context by winning against Julian Marley.

Koffee is definitely living her best artist life and it is expected to blow up even more; possible feature on Rihanna’s R9. In the meantime though, listen to Koffee’s Grammy Award winning album ‘Rapture’.
