Alice Kimanzi has been in the industry for long and if you follow her, then you know that she is an amazing worshipper. Therefore teaming up with Paul Clement was only going to give us some more fire worship song s they have in their new song, Yuko Mungu.
Yuko Mungu is sort of a full circle moment for any person who has listened been listening to Alice for a minute in the context of sound; the song sounds a lot like one of her very first singles, Nitamngoja Bwana. YUKO Mungu is a chill and strongly instrumented song that still heavily carries the essence of a worship song. As part of the instrumentation, it also relies on vocal harmonies.
The video takes on a very simple setting with a vintage tv as the only prop. It has a black backdrop which makes it very easy to bring the video to life. The video relies heavily on colour contrasting and a lot of great lighting. This is also assisted by the fact that Alice and Paul have a theme for their clothes. The whole video is done on portrait mode.
