New Releases: Jamaica’s Buju Banton, Elephant Man make a comeback, as Etana rocks her body

Jamaica’s reggae and dancehall scene is always a vibe. Whether you are looking for some easy music or something upbeat to get the blood pumping, there is always something for everyone.
The month of November is turning out to be quite the month when it comes to new release, bringing new players into the industry as well as some heavyweights returning after a long hiatus, this month’s music releases are lit.
Here are our top 3 reggae and dancehall releases:
1. Elephant Man – Find It
With a short film, Elephant Man arguably one of the biggest names in the dancehall music industry is back with a bang. The track ‘Find It’ brings back the late 1990s and 2000s dancehall nostalgia, the sweaty, grimy dance moves, and the outrageous outfits. The track is just over 5 minutes long and sees Elephant Man go on a quest to find the lost city of dancehall music. With the support of his ‘army’, he discovers the lost city and erupts in song and dance. If you are an Elephant Man fan, this track is just for you.
2.Buju Banton – Trust
After his release from a Miami prison, Buju has not been up to much after collaborating with friend and industry heavyweight DJ Khaled earlier this year. But now, Buju is back bigger and better than ever before. The track is deep, with a heavy beat and even more poignant lyrics to boot. Talking about his trust issues, Banton touches on the ills of social media and the perils of trust ‘new friends’. His time in prison has left the ‘Wanna Be Loved’ crooner weary of sell-outs, in and around his circle of friends.
