Who is Nyashinski?
Nyamari Ongegu alias Nyashinski, also referred to as Shinski is a Kenyan rapper with over ten years of experience in the industry. He went to Nairobi school for his high school education. During his time at Nairobi School, he met Collins Majale alias Collo and Robert Manyasa also known as Roba. The three came together and formed Kleptomaniacs group which produced major hits in the early 2000s. Some of their top hits include; Tuendelee, Freak, Maniax Anthem, Haree among others.
After leaving High School, he undertook a Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning and management. Shinski is a household name in the local music industry. Many upcoming artistes look up to him as their mentor in the industry. During a past interview, he divulged that when he is not making music, he hangs out with close friends.
Nyashinski’s musical career
He started singing with the Kleptomaniacs group in 1999, and together they released their first single ‘Freak’ in 2002. The group was later signed by Ogopa Deejays and produced a number of top hits. After several years of working together, the three decided to part ways and work on solo projects. Nyashinski travelled abroad, and returned to the country in 2016. Many people questioned his absence prompting him to release his hit song ‘Now You Know’ explaining what he had been doing over the years. A few months later, he released a gospel song dubbed ‘Mungu Pekee’ which was a major hit across the continent.
After making a successful comeback, he embarked on collaborative projects that saw him feature in Coke Studio Africa, worked with Sauti Sol on; ‘Short n Sweet’ and ‘Tujiangalie’. He later on dropped other singles that include; Malaika, Aminia, Hayawani, Bebi Bebi, Finyo, Free, Balance among others.
Nyashinski Girlfriend
Despite being a celebrity, Nyashinski has managed to keeps details about his relationship private. Not much is known about his personal life. However, reports indicate that he is dating Zia Jepkemei Bett, the CEO of Zia label, Zia Collection clothing. In an interview with Daily Nation in January 2018, Shinski refuted the reports. “Kuna rumors that I’m dating and that I have a baby mama, but when I get married, I’ll post it for everyone to see. I won’t keep it a secret.” he said back then.
Nyashinski networth
Being a household name in the Kenyan music industry, Nyashinski gets invited to perform in top shows and events. This means that he is among well paid musicians in the country. It is, however not clear how much he is worth, since he has not openly disclosed his assets and other properties he owns.
