NIGERIA: Davido To Finally Release That Sophomore ALBUM

Davido also known as OBO seriously ain’t playing this year, after walking away with the much coveted BET international act award 2018. He’s now back in the studio recording.

We are still waiting for an apology following the controversy over his choice of clothing when he walked on the the BET stage to pick up his award.

But new reaching us is that the Nigerian pop singer didn’t take a break nor stay in America for a much needed break if we dare say. He’s currently in Nigeria writing and recording new songs.

According to his manager, Asa Asika, who was spotted at the BET Awards, OBO is actually back in the studios recording some news songs for the album.

It will be recalled that he had on several occasions announced his upcoming sophomore album but nothing concrete has been made.

Apparently the much anticipated album is expected to be released sometime next year. Going by his singles which have been hits after hits, the album for sure is going to be fire.

The If hit maker released his debut album back in 2012 titled ”Omo Baba Olowo”, and as shocking as it may sound he is yet to follow up with another.

The musician has broadened his fan base after signing with american label Sony, that saw him collabo with the likes of Tinashe, who appeared on his five-track project, with the record Label.

The amazing bit is that his work has earned him numerous recognition with the recent being the BET award.

The sophomore album which does not have any body of works was initially titled The Baddest, but we are not sure if he and his team are still going by that name; either way we are here for it.

For someone who has had to work twice as much as his colleagues due to his efforts being attributed to his father’s wealth – something he’s denied over and over- he’s done a good job and deserves his dues.

But our biggest curiosity is, will he be able to pull off the DMW album he promised to release this June while working on his Album as well. Well we only have to wait  and see.
