Legendary Kenyan Rugby player Collins Injera has announced his retirement from the game after 17 years on the field. In a statement that he shared with the public, Injera stated that his body had indicated to him that it was time to hang the boots.

He took a moment to reflect on some of the most beautiful moments while serving the Kenya Sevens team. Among his top highlights was the honor to play with his brothers Tall and Mike locally and internationally. He further extended his gratitude to various stakeholders in the rugby game. Upto his retirement, he held 2nd place for the highest number of tries (271) scored in the World Rugby Sevens Series.
