Savinnah
Savinnah is a 22-year-old singer and songwriter from Kenya. She has always had a love for music from
and started singing from the age of four. She started writing her own songs at the age of fifteen. Other
than singing and writing, she also plays both piano and guitar.
After high school Savinnah went on to join Brookhouse School where she studied Business and
Technology in Music (BTec Music) in 2019. This is where she credits an immense part of her growth
musically to, especially in discovering her style of writing and preferred music genres. She got the
chance to perform on Capital Fm, The Elephant and Ole Sereni as well as win a $300 prize from
ArtistCrowdfundExchange for her outstanding performance in a music competition while there. She
went on to graduate in June 2020 and is currently in Strathmore University studying Computer
Science. On social media, Savinnah has managed to amass a total of 70.8k likes on TikTok with 2700
avid followers and 1502 followers on Instagram.
Savinnah’s music not only showcases her talent in singing but also her diversity. Her songs cover the
genres of pop, afro pop, hip hop and modern R&B. When it comes to her goals as an artist, Savinnah
looks up to and draws inspiration from various artists but mainly Rihanna and Drake. Other influences
include Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Billie Eilish, Tems, Adele, Khalid, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran and
Whitney Houston to mention a few.
Savinnah plans to release her first single ‘Trouble’ before the end of the quarter 1 2023 and ultimately
her first EP sometime in the year. She believes her entry into the music industry will change the game
and open doors for her both nationally and internationally but most importantly allow her to share
her talent with the world.
