EARLY LIFE

Seneta Kilaka, whose real name is Shaban Ali, hails from Kibaha area in Pwani

His unique artistic name was given to him by his friend.

Seneta is a Swahili word for “Senator” and ""Kilaka"" is a Swahili word that translates to ""a patch"" in English therefore perfectly representing his versatility, fluidity and overall ability to fit into any musical environment.

Since his debut, Seneta Kilaka's journey in the music industry has been nothing short of extraordinary gaining recognition in the streets and was one of the very first Singeli artists to gain popularity on Tiktok with “Ex Wangu Remix”

DEBUT SONG

Seneta Kilaka's debut song, ""Kidogo Changu,"" which he debuted in 2017, was well-received in the streets despite not being posted to any digital platforms. The song was adopted as the soundtrack for Bodaboda drivers and an adventure in neighborhood street festivals.

The song's appeal to the local Kibaha audience demonstrated Seneta Kilaka's untapped talent and provided the foundation for his career in the Singeli music scene.

COLLABORATION WITH HAMISA MOBETO

Seneta Kilaka gained further prominence with the release of the remix of his hit single ""Ex Wangu,"" featuring popular songstress Hamisa Mobeto.

The single was released in 2021 and it quickly captivated audiences and gained widespread attention on social media platforms, particularly TikTok.
