Who is Blxckie?

Sihle Sithole, better known by his stage name Blxckie, is a rapper, songwriter, and record producer from South Africa. He was born on 5 June 1999 (age 23 years) and grew up in Durban's Sydenham Heights. He is the fastest-growing South African Hip hop star.

He is renowned for fusing soothing vocals with many different tunes to create a fresh atmosphere. Additionally, he produces the majority of his music. He is also a member of the rapidly expanding Clout Internet Boyz(CIB) musical movement of rappers from Durban who make music collectively and discuss Trap music. Their style has been compared to Melodic Trap with a bit of an edge.

In a previous interview, Blxckie shared his strong opinion that there was a big disparity between the artists and fans saying "It almost seems as though an artist's success or brief period of notoriety causes them to lose their minds. They overlook the fact that your greatest obstacle to success will always be your supporters. Even if people may adore the music, if we want to continue, they must continue to listen, and that is what I'm all about."

He first became interested in music when he was eight years old and began making songs with his pals. Sithole, who had earned a degree in social sciences, enrolled at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Achievements

When Blxckie travelled to Johannesburg in March 2021, the city experienced a 21-day lockdown. He was chosen by Apple Music as an Up Next artist at the beginning of the same month. His single "David" was released on April 30, 2021. South Africa awarded the song a gold certification. He revealed a song called "Ye 4" with Nasty C and the release date on May 10, 2021, via his Instagram account. On May 14, 2021, the song was released. "Ye 4" achieved double platinum certification after selling more than 40,000 units.

On May 21, 2021, his first studio album, B4Now, was released. Artists including Nasty C, LucasRaps, FLVME, Rowlene, and LeoDaleo make cameos on it.

With sales of more than 10,000 units, the album was awarded gold status in South Africa.
On November 26, Blxckie set out on the B4Now Tour, which included of 10 dates and went through December 2021 in Durban, The Warehouse.

At the South African Hip Hop Awards 2021, he won Freshman of the Year and received nominations for Album of the Year (B4Now), Song of the Year ("Ye 4"), and Best Collaboration.

He came in first place on MTV Base: SA's Hottest MCs in December 2021.
On February 3, 2022, "Cold," the lead song from his next EP, was published. At the same time, he revealed the EP's release date on his Instagram page.
His EP 4LUV was released on February 18, 2022. He later collaborated with fellow rapper, A-Reece on the song “Sneaky”. B4Now (2021), his debut studio album, received a gold certification in South Africa.

He would then be nominated as the Best International Flow at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2022.
