Who is Flavour?

He is an award winning singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and a dancer from Nigeria.His real name is Chinedu Okoli and he was born in November 1983.He is widely known for his ability to sing in Igbo language which is one of native languages in Nigeria. He is also known for his good dancing skills and a flexible waist.

Flavour Journey and Breakthrough

He was originally a drummer before venturing into singing. He started playing drums as an amateur in his local church in Enugu at the age of 13. It was not until 1996 that he started playing drums professionally and later earned a scholarship to pursue music. The Pastor at his church introduced him to Chris Ordor who had just started his own studio that aimed to train upcoming musicians and he was lucky to be among the first lot of artists signed by the label.

Flavour released his debut album titled 'N'abania' in 2005.It was released by his then record label called Obaino Music and although the album was not a nationwide sensation, it cemented his name as one of the hottest in his home state Enugu and an artist to watch out for in the Nigerian music scene.
