KENYA: Akothee Comes Clean About Her Supposed 'Wedding' That Had Everybody Talking

If you thought Akothee’s ‘wedding’ was a bit unexpected and sudden, well you’re absolutely right. It turns out, it wasn’t even a real wedding after all.
The singer revealed this during her ‘surprise’ visit on Citizen TV for Joey Muthengi’s show ‘10Over10’ where she came clean saying that the photos she posted, which went viral were not of her actual wedding.
The singer claims that it was a ‘rehearsal’ and the man in the video is not even her fiancé. It seems Akothee’s special man continues to be elusive.
“He is a man as you can see…he is not my fiancé, he is not even my husband,” she responded when asked about the man in the video/photos.
When asked whether she deliberately mislead her fans, who poured in congratulatory messages on her timeline on social media, the singer denied the claims saying she’d already informed everybody when her real wedding will be.
“I wouldn’t say I lied because I posted on my page and told everybody my official wedding will be on the 5th of November (2016),” she said.
She concluded by saying “I’d rather live a life than live a lie,” words to live by indeed.
And so as the whole world waits on Akothee’s wedding day to meet her elusive man, you can enjoy her new jam Yuko Moyoni in the meantime.
