Willy Paul can’t seem to catch a lucky break lately. Aside from missing out in the prestigious Groove Awards this year, it seems that the latest direction he is taking in terms of his music seems to have some of his fans a bit confused on whether he’s still doing gospel music.
This specifically points towards Take it Slow featuring Sauti Sol, a song that urges youth to abstain from sex and his just release Fanya, in which he pretty much talks about himself and the temptations he faced before he was transformed.
And while in retrospect the two are very good songs some of his fans seem to question whether they are necessarily gospel songs, especially his latest Fanya.
