KENYA: A Host of Kenyan Celebrities Nominated for Nigeria's Entertainment Awards [DETAILS]

The Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) 2016 nominees list has been announced and what’s surprising is that this time a host of Kenyan celebrities have been nominated for various awards.

The NEA is now in its 11^th year and this time the organizers decided to include artists from various other African countries.

Thanks to this move Kenya has bagged itself four nominations for the African Male Artist (Non Nigerian / Africa), African Female Artist (Non Nigerian / Africa) and the African (Non Nigerian) Disc Jockey categories.

Sauti Sol and gospel artist Papa Denis will be representing Kenya in the African Male Artist of the year where they will go against the likes of Stoneboy and Sarkodie of Ghana.

Meanwhile Chocolate City’s Victoria Kimani will be representing Kenya in the African Female Artist of the year category where she will face of with Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee and Rwanda’s Knowless Butera among others.

However the biggest surprise of all is DJ Joe Mfalme who has been nominated for the African Disk jockey of the year.

This year’s NEA event will be happening on September 4, 2016 in the American city of New York.
