KENYA: This is How Sauti Sol, Lupita Nyong'o and Radio Queen Caroline Mutoko Are Saving Kenya

Boy band Sauti Sol and Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o are two of Kenya’s best and proudest exports bringing praise to the country in their respective fields through their works.

Now the Oscar-winning actress and the MTV award winning band are coming together along with radio queen Caroline Mutoko to save some of Kenya’s greatest symbols, our wildlife.

There’s no doubt the importance our wildlife plays in this country, we not only put them on our currency but in return their bring currency to the country when tourist come to visit.

However with the increase in poaching activity in the country threatening our elephants, rhinos and lions there’s great need for change if we are going to protect this country’s precious emblems.

That is the inspiration for “Hearts and Minds”, the country’s newest anti-poaching campaign started by three of Kenya’s best to save not only our precious wildlife but to keep the pride of Kenya intact.

The campaign will utilize public service announcements, documentary shorts, billboards and social media to urge support for conservation and reporting of wildlife crime.

This announcement comes at the eve of another great but tragic event with the Kenya Wildlife Service led by President Uhuru Kenyatta prepares for the burning of the world's largest ever trove of poached ivory.
