KENYA: Jaguar Planning Collaboration With American Star Nicki Minaj

Well Matepelli hit maker Jaguar maybe considered one of the most successful artists in the country and though he won’t release 10 or 20 songs in a year like most artists do, there’s still no doubting his work ethic.

The few songs he releases in a year are of very high quality and almost always end up on replay on radio and TV the whole year through.

On the other had we have American artist Nicki Minaj who is one of the most hard working artist in her country.

Nicki who is currently on her Pinkprint global tour which has recently taken her all the way to South Arica to entertain some of her African fans.

And for Jaguar this was an opportunity he couldn’t miss not as a fan but as an artist seeking to collaborate with the popstar.

First question that pops up in anyone’s head right now is how would a Jaguar-Nicki Minaj combination sound? Especially considering the two utilize two completely different sounds and writing skills, Jaguar does mostly conscious music while Nicki is more of an entertainer.

Well it’s Nicki Minaj, who cares. And there’s no doubting what this could mean for the Kenyan music industry.

After the show, Jaguar says he had a chance to meet up with the singer and discussed about the possibility of working together on a song.

“Well she was afraid to take the risk but she is very hardworking. Although we can learn so many things from each other and it will open the doors for a collabo,” he said.
