KENYA: 'Mbilikimo Mkora' Hit Maker Kenrazy Finally Adressess Rumors of His Falling Out With Grandpa Records CEO

For the longest time the Mbilikimo Mkora artist was considered to be Grandpa Records CEO Yusuf Noah a.k.a Refigah’s number two.

Perhaps that is why many were shocked when rumors of the two falling out surfaced some weeks ago.

According to the rumors Kenrazy had been kicked out of the Kibera-based record label by the CEO who to this day has refused to comment on the matter.

And though this would not be the first time the rapper is leaving Grandpa Records (he’d been at Jomino Records and Pacho Records before going back), I guess with the way he’s left you’d think he’s not going back this time.

Mpasho who spoke to the artist in an interview sited “contract disagreements” as the reason for his departure.

“Hii story yote imetoka wapi? I am very fit and ready to drop my new jam and album. I believe the music is what is important coz that’s who Kenrazy is. So watu wangoje mziki. That’s where all my hype comes from. When we sign, we announce. When we don’t renew or split I will let you know,” the rapper said.

As for the Grandpa Records CEO Refigah it’s clear the bond they shared with his former artist is all but gone as he had nothing kind to say about him, this is said to be due to the power play issues that apparently Kenrazy started.

Refigah said that Kenrazy’s contract with Grandpa expired in January and there has been no talk about renewing it.
