KENYA: Nigerians Go Crazy After Hearing Kenya's Khaligraph Jones for the First Time on M.I. Abaga's 'Black Bill Gates'

This week top Nigerian rapper M.I. Abaga released his ‘Illegal Music 3’, his most anticipated mixtape since the previous ‘Illegal Music 2’ dropped in 2012.

And among the many artists featured on the mixtape, one managed to steal the show for our Nigerian brothers and sisters, the man from the United Kayole himself, Khaligraph Jones.

‘Papa Jones’ as he likes to call himself brought his A-game as usual in the track ‘Black Bill Gates’ and impressed, so much so that he was actually a trending topic on Twitter yesterday.

But what you may not know is that for many of the Nigerians listening to the mixtape, this was the first they heard of Kenyan rapper and for many of them the question they had in their minds was ‘Who is Khaligraph?’

Listening to the track you can immediately tell that the inspiration for the song was Beyonce’s controversial song ‘Formation’ in which she actually comes up with the concept of a ‘Black Bill Gates’.

However this is not the first time the studio have been together in a track. Last year when the Nigerian rapper was in Kenya, the two linked up alongside Muthoni the Drummer Queen and as is the case when you bring three talented individuals on one track, they gave us some really good music.
