KENYA: 'Who is Octopizzo to Trash Bingwa' - Wahu Finally Responds to Octopizzo

Namba Nane rapper Octopizzo turned down the ‘Comeback Artist of the Year Award’ that he won at the recently concluded Bingwa Awards saying that it should instead be given to Wahu.

But now the ‘Liar’ hit maker has finally responded to Octopizzo calling his actions unnecessary and unprofessional.

In an interview with the Star’s Word Is, the singer took issue with the fact that the ‘Namba Nane’ rapper did not go to the organizers of the event with his complaints rather than making a spectacle in public.

“If Octopizzo had issues about the category he had been nominated in, he should have sought a way to solve that with the organisers, away from the public glare. It was very disrespectful for him to then drag me into his unprofessional actions. So there is no way I am going to pick the award from him. It's his and he should be thankful for it,” she said.

She later pointed out that her husband, Nameless who is one of the most decorated artists in the industry with several awards including an MTV MAMA Award, still remains humble to this day despite all he has achieved.

“My husband, Nameless, who has won numerous awards including MAMA, was humble and thankful enough when he won the same award last year. So who is Octopizzo to trash a young event which is trying to appreciate our music talents? I wish him well though, but in future he should be careful not to act the way he did.”
