KENYA: Gospel Singer Joyce Omondi Reveals Intimate Details About Her Secret Wedding With Citizen TV's Waihiga Mwaura

When Gospel songbird Joyce Omondi got married to Citizen TV’s Waihiga Mwaura in December 2015, it came as a shock to may as no one even knew the two were together until after their wedding day.

It’s clear the two never wanted to go public with their relationship, but now it seems they are employing a change of tact.

Yesterday the singer went on social media to share some intimate details of her wedding. She revealed that she wore the same veil her mum did on her own special day. Her mum deliberately kept the veil to one day hand it down to her daughter when she takes the big step into married life.

Also she designed her own dress alongside her childhood friend, Naomi who is a designer by profession.

~ “I look back at December 18th with so much gratitude in my heart. My dear mum kept the very same veil she wore on her own wedding day for me! It matched my gown PERFECTLY and was just as beautiful as when she wore it decades ago! And then there was this gown! It was such a joy designing it with my best friend @naomydesign who has been the sister I never had since childhood. She totally brought the design to life with her amazing tailoring skills! The sentimental value of what I wore that day is something I will always treasure.. a reminder of two incredible women who have stood with me through the highs and lows of my life and loved me so graciously.
