UGANDA: Bebe Cool changed the Ugandan music industry - Jose Chameleone

Jose Chameleone one of the most celebrated artist in Uganda and Africa shocked revelers at Sheraton Hotel Kampala when he called Bebe Cool a legend at the recently concluded UG Dance party event last Thursday evening as revelers were ushering in the New Year.

During the performance Jose asked revelers to allow him introduce Bebe Cool the artist that has changed music industry over the years.

Surprising right? Why now? We have known the two musicians as rivals since the days. A lot has happened. Many critics would call this one of those public stunts of reconciliation the two have always pulled on fans. But may be beef is just not  good for business any more.

Whatever his reasons were we should not forget Bebe Cool played an important role in Chameleone’s early music career way back in the mid-90s when he invited him to Kenya where he had traveled earlier. The duo joined the Ogopa deejays and after a year or two, Chameleone came to Uganda with his breakthrough single ‘Maama mia’ that took the industry by storm and now look how far the two have come.

I guess he was appreciating Bebe’s contribution to his prosperous music career or the NRM Camp just made them realise they have more to gain working together.
