NEW MUSIC (KENYA): Dela's Swahili Cover of 'Hello' by Adele Breaks the Internet

More often than not covers don’t even scratch the surface of the original. But Dela may have just found the secret to outdoing the original creation, and who knew the only thing it took was translating it to Swahili.

Adele took the world by storm with her smash hit song ‘Hello’ and also broke a couple of records along the way.

It was the first song to ever sell 1 million downloads in just one week, so you know it was a great song. Other than that it sent the world into a frenzy, people started message trolling each other with the very emotional lyrics, all the while other famous singers and rappers did their own covers of the song.

But even after seeing all those covers, one realizes none of them comes anything close to the original, often covers never do. That’s until I listened to Dela’s cover of the same song.

On her own Dela is a multitalented singer and song writer, but that’s not all it takes to make a great artist. Sometimes you need a little creativity in your work, and let it be said creativity doesn’t get any better than Dela’s cover of ‘Hello’.

She not only translated the song to Swahili, which it sounds glorious in, but collaborated with some of the most talented artists around, including Sauti Sol’s Fancy Fingers to make the tune sound even more Kenyan.

Check it out, and be warned prepare yourself to be really impressed;
