'Lingala ya Yesu' star Pitson opens up about his music!

The Kenyan Gospel music scene has been thriving over the past few years and making it in the industry can prove to be very tricky, but once you have a unique forte and niche to your music you are most likely to succeed in the industry, and that’s what Gospel artist Pitson has to offer.

The artist who is currently drawing a lot of media attention due to his latest video release for the song ‘Lingala ya yesu’ describes his music style as Afro- fusion and creative, speaking to Mdundo during an interview he shared where the inspiration for the song came from,

“I think there is a particular trend of artists thinking that they have to look and be a certain way to make it in the music industry but I just wanted to show that even by being yourself you can make it in the industry”

He further went on to add “The song is just a song to make feel people happy and celebrate the Lord in a fun interesting way I wouldn’t call it Lingala I think it’s a mixture of everything and something out of the box and creative that’s why it is being received well “

Released over a week ago, the song currently has over 7000 views on YouTube and will undoubtedly be a massive hit this year, from the amazing guitar riffs to the melodious danceable tunes created by the amazing band it is indeed a Lingala tune dedicated to the Lord.
