Kenya, we finally did it! For the first time in the history of voting, we were one and for that, Sauti Sol are adorned with the crown of the Best African Act in this year’s MTV EMA Awards!
They shared their excitement via all possible social media platforms saying: “#AfricaTurnUp We did it!! Thank you Thank you Thank you #TeamSautiSol!! We're the @MTVEMA BEST AFRICAN ACT!! NOW WE FACE THE WORLD!! @mtvbaseafrica”
They were contesting for the spot with the likes of Tanzania’s gem, Diamond, Nigeria’s Skelewu rocker Davido and South Africa’s Goldfish. It was practically a clash of the titans and we, Kenya, came out the victor!
