Mdundo Twitterview: Thanks to MC Tino Dancehall in Rwanda is Now Steaming

Mdundo caught up with Rwandese Dancehall sensation MC Tino. He is a pretty easy guy and very down to earth. His fans followed through the chat. Here is a little more dig up on MC Tino you'd be glad to know about. 

How is Rwanda?

Rwanda is very good besides the heavy rains. But we are doing fine.

In a few words, who is MC Tino?

Mc Tino is a very down to earth person, God fearing, 3born in our family. Mcee, part time Dj, song writer, singer etc...multi talented hhhhh

When did you start doing music? How has your journey been so far?

I started doing music in 2013 was in a music group before I went solo. My journey has not been that easy but with Grace of jah we managing. So far I am working on my first Album as a solo artist that am launching this December.

You quit your job in the media, did this have anything to do with your music? Are you planning to go back to radio?

Ohhhh it had nothing to do with my music. I just choose this route cos I know I can make soon or later. And I also want to be my own boss ahahahhh. Yes why not going back on radio coz my fans miss my voice on radio. May be one day I will

Do you write your own music?

90% Yes but like Umurima was written by Deejay Pius much an humble Artist. Much respect to him.

Was 'Medication' your breakthrough song?

Ohhh my breakthrough song is Umurima which means Farm. This song was appreciated by alot of people. In fact it's even the tittle of my Album

Tell us a little bit about your upcoming album...What should we expect? Any collabos in it?

My first Album is Called 'Umurima' it has 12 songs. I have a few collabos with some artists from Rwanda Gabiro Music etc... next year will do some regional collabos. So that my name keeps growing.

Are you aspiring to have any collabos from Kenya?

True dat my dream is to work with Wyre the love child he is such and amazing artist. Plus others.

What are some of the challenges you've experienced especially in your early days of your music journey?

As an artists challenges are always there. But the biggest challenge is breaking the boarders so my music is atleast in all EA countries but with time we shall make it.

What's the main message that you always want to pass across through your music?

The message is Simple 'LOVE' I always feel so happy seeing people love each other. Respect each other.

Who are some of the artists you listened to when you were growing up?

I grew up listening to Bob Marley, Sizzla Kalonji, Chaka demus and pliers, Bennie Man, Etc...I do afro, Reggae ,Ragga and dancehall music. This is a type of music I have enjoyed since my childhood mostly reggae being an inspiring type of music that speaks for the people dem. For the ghetto youths. My music style never fades. I love it so much

What are your future plans musically for the next 5years?

Come next year would love to have atleast 3 big regional collabos. With time I have hope will become one of the biggest Artists in the region and continent as well.
