KENYA: SONGSTRESS DELA CALLS OUT TO THE YOUTH IN HER NEW HIT SINGLE 'PAZA SAUTI'

PAZA SAUTI is a Swahili phrase that means ‘project your voice.’ Dela explains her inspiration behind the song, ‘Alone, and collectively as young people, we must make our voices heard until the resounding echoes drown out all else. Because, there is nothing easy about letting another determine your future when the power lies with you.’

The song aims to encourage the Kenyan citizens to perform their civic duty by registering and voting in the upcoming general elections. The setting of the video is a low income neighborhood, where one of the campaigning leader is trying to use crude means to radicalize the youth in the area. After realizing power is in their own hands, the people decide that enough is enough. They refuse to follow the path the leader wanted, and choose to make a difference through registering to vote for leaders based on merit.

PAZA SAUTI video has been produced by Stanz Visuals, and packaged to appeal to a regional and international audience. The song has been written by Dela and produced by Fancy Fingers.
